Hello!

I am a PhD student at the Van Voorhis Group in MIT Chemistry. My Ph.D. program is supported by the MIT Presidential Fellowship (Robert T. Haslam Fellow) and the Kwanjeong Fellowship. My interests are in computational chemistry, specifically in quantum embedding methods.

I completed my undergraduate education at Brown University, where I graduated magna cum laude with Honors in Chemical Physics. My research advisor was Professor Brenda Rubenstein, with whom I studied the Finite-Temperature Auxiliary Field Quantum Monte Carlo (FT-AFQMC) method on transition metals.

Some of the organizations that I have previously engaged with are listed below. Please refer to my CV for more details.

News

Jun 12, 2024 I will give two talks in the upcoming summer, the first in July, about recent developments in quantum computing and bootstrap embedding at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT). In August, I will discuss my work related to bootstrap embedding at ACS Fall 2024 during the session “Addressing the Complexity of Correlated Quantum Many-body Problems by Embedding and Downfolding.” I look forward to sharing my recent works!
Aug 8, 2023 I received the MIT Department of Chemistry Award for Outstanding Teaching. Glad that I could contribute to the learning environment at MIT Chemistry!
Dec 8, 2022 I was recently featured in Brown University’s Alumni Newsletter. Ever true!
Nov 17, 2022 I am joining the Van Voorhis Group at MIT Chemistry.
Jul 21, 2022 I was selected as one of this year’s Kwanjeong Fellows.
The fellowship provides funds towards my Ph.D. education.
Mar 27, 2022 I decided to join MIT Chemistry this fall for my Ph.D. program.
I will receive MIT Presidential Fellowship which covers tuition and stipend for my first year
(along with standard appointments in the following four years).
